WAREHOUSE BILLING, CONNECTED

Track the work. Make billing simpler.

Keep client billing connected to the work happening on your floor. Bring inventory activity, boxes, tape, and warehouse services into one clear billing workflow, so month-end or your chosen billing day takes less chasing and manual entry.

Inventory & storage

Use recorded inventory and storage activity to support client charges, with the units, rates, and billing rules agreed for your operation.

Boxes, tape & packing supplies

Track carton types, tape, and other packing materials as stock. Record what each order or client uses so supplies can be included in billing.

Warehouse services & work

Capture billable receiving, putaway, picking, kitting, packing, and returns. Apply agreed service rates or recorded labor where your workflow captures it.

Clear statements, on your schedule

Bring the recorded work and materials together for review. Prepare itemized client statements monthly or on your agreed billing cycle, with supporting activity records.

Your rates, billing rules, statement formats, and accounting connections are agreed, built, and tested as part of your custom Ledger Rack.

A PLANNED TRANSITION

Move systems with a plan. Switch when you’re ready.

Worried about leaving your current software? We plan the data migration and integrations with you. Keep your current system in use during preparation. We switch to Ledger Rack only after the agreed data checks, workflow testing, and your approval.

  1. Map & connect

Review your current software, SKUs, locations, inventory, and open orders. Connect the agreed data through supported integrations or file imports.

  2. Check the data

Reconcile stock balances, map identifiers, and resolve missing or duplicate records before they become problems on the floor.

  3. Test the work

Rehearse the agreed workflows and integrations in a separate environment. Let your team check the process and confirm the readiness criteria with us.

  4. Approve & switch

Once the agreed checks pass and you approve, reconcile the final changes and switch during the planned window, with a recovery plan and launch support.

Some systems need file exports or a planned pause for the final data transfer. We agree on the records to move, the switching window, and the recovery plan with you up front.

CUSTOM WMS, EXPLAINED

Questions about Ledger Rack.

Do employees need to be tech savvy to use Ledger Rack?

Ledger Rack is designed for warehouse teams, including people new to warehouse work or WMS software. Plain-language prompts, guided tasks, and visible next steps help employees learn your process. We tailor training to your operation and can add task-specific AI assistance and scan validation as part of your custom build.

What is a warehouse management system (WMS)?

A warehouse management system (WMS) records inventory quantities, storage locations, and warehouse activity from receiving to outbound. Ledger Rack connects those records with guided tasks for the floor team, then we tailor the features, prompts, and workflows to your operation.

Can Ledger Rack adapt to our existing warehouse workflow?

Yes. We work with you to understand your receiving process, checking steps, storage locations, inventory movements, and outbound handoffs. We then configure the relevant modules and develop custom features around those needs. Optional AI integrations can be scoped and developed for specific tasks as part of your custom client build.

How does warehouse execution fit into the WMS?

The WMS keeps the inventory record. The built-in warehouse execution system (WES) guides the team through the next steps on the floor. Ledger Rack connects prompts, checks, locations, and an employee audit trail to help reduce missed steps and keep the work traceable.

Can Ledger Rack cover order picking, kitting, packing, and returns?

We configure and develop these workflows as part of your agreed custom build. That can include batch or zone picking, replenishment of picking locations, kitting and product bundling, packing checks, shipping handoffs, and returns processing. We agree on the rules, integrations, and readiness checks for your operation before launch.

Can you connect to our put wall or picking equipment?

We can scope integrations with compatible put walls, pick-to-light and put-to-light systems, scanners, and picking stations. A put wall sorts picked items into individual orders; pick-to-light guides picking from a location, while put-to-light guides placement into a destination. We review the equipment interfaces and test the agreed connection before it goes live.

Can we move from our current software without switching before we are ready?

We plan a staged migration using supported integrations or file imports. Your current system stays in use during preparation while we map and reconcile the agreed data and rehearse the workflows separately. We switch only after the agreed checks pass and you approve. Some systems require a planned pause for the final transfer; we agree on the switching window, final reconciliation, recovery plan, and launch support up front.

Can our warehouse software change as our business grows?

Ledger Rack is modular and modifiable. Your subscription supports custom features, updates, and fixes as your needs evolve. We agree on the changes with you and adapt your client installation as your operation changes.

Does each business have its own Ledger Rack environment?

Yes. Each client has a dedicated warehouse installation on their own domain, with their branding and database. Managers create employee accounts and manage access, while each warehouse location keeps its own inventory, schedule, and activity records.

What is included in the base warehouse management software?

The base Ledger Rack includes PO receiving, quantity checks, storage locations, inventory counts and movements, outbound records, arrival and departure scheduling, manager-created employee accounts, and an activity ledger with employee names and timestamps. We discuss any additional features or integrations as part of your custom build.

How do we get a custom Ledger Rack for our warehouse?

Use the contact form to describe your operation, locations, current process, and the tasks you want to improve. We review the workflow with you and agree on the configuration, custom work, deployment, and subscription terms before starting your client installation. Employees receive accounts through their warehouse manager.

Does Ledger Rack include AI and integrations?

We scope and build integrations for your chosen ecommerce storefronts, inventory updates, order and shipping systems, compatible picking equipment, and warehouse robotics. Optional AI features are developed around agreed tasks, with clear confirmations before inventory changes. The base software provides inventory records and guided warehouse work; each additional connection is scoped and tested for your platforms, equipment, and workflow.

How much does a custom WMS cost?

Ledger Rack is offered by subscription. Tell us about your warehouse locations, current process, and the features or integrations you need so we can scope the work and provide a quote. We agree on development, deployment, and ongoing service terms before starting your client installation.
